Coco Tam’s is a popular open-air beach bar situated on the picturesque Bophut Beach in Koh Samui, Thailand. It offers a relaxed tropical atmosphere with beanbags on the sand, swing seats at the bar, cabanas, and shisha. Visitors can enjoy chilled out tunes and stunning sunset views over the ocean while sipping on refreshing drinks.
One of the best spots in fisherman’s village to have great food and enjoy the overall beach vibe. We went there for lunch and were seated on the upper floor which had cozy seating arrangements along with the beach view.Food was excellent specially the sea food soup. The pizza and calamari were great too along with fresh fruit juices.Highly recommended!

The place has a great view to the beach and many cocktails but when I asked for add a bit of spicy to my drink they told me that they didn’t have… knowing that almost every single food in Thailand has it… but apart of that nice food. Pizzas are great and calamari.

Good food. Great show. Food price is reasonable. Normally the show start 7pm and 9pm but during this period, time change to only 8m instead. The restaurant divided in two zone, restaurant in double floor and bar which is in the same area and next to each other. The fire show was between those two. The bar didn't serve food, mainly drink, but provided snacks and pizza in piece.Visitors can park at the Wharf which now closed and walk for a few minutes to the restaurant. Beware not to park next to the entrance as local taxi reserve those slot.

Visited here September ‘22. Food was very good, certainly had better Italian food but considering we’re quite far from Italy very strong.Drinks however are excellent, probably some of the best alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks we had on the island. Also hung around for the fire show which was really fun.Vibe is excellent, place is really energetic and the staff are friendly and speak good English. Restaurant and bathrooms also very clean.Worth a visit if on the island, lives up to the hype.

Went on a Sunday evening at 6:30pm, and I already had to wait for a table at the car counter (I was #3). I had a great time! The food was good, vibes was great, service was very good, Throw in amazing views of the beach and fire show (starts at 7pm), well worth the visit!

One of the best places to enjoy your day. Great vibes, excellent location and great views. One can enjoy a good drink and watch the sunset followed by the fire show.

This is the definitive bar & restaurant for Fisherman's Village. Food is great quality, cocktails are expensive and look better than they probably are, tho really enjoyable. Free fire shows every evening with bean bags and tables on the sand.Mid-afternoon service was not what I would call Thai-attentive.... several bored staff not really focused on the few customers there at 3pm.Ya just have to pay for your food and drink and love your life

Honestly such a cool place. It is the priciest place we have eaten at here but you get what you pay for. Very well trained service, delicious pizza (which was a nice break from Thai food) with an open kitchen you can see is extremely clean and well organized. We stayed for drinks to see the fire show at night which is so worth it (you don’t pay for the show, just drinks while you watch). Cool experience

Everybody in the reviews says to make a booking before attending a fire show, and yet you can't do that on their website, and nobody will answer the phone. So WTH?Update: You apparently just show up now; no reservation needed (though it doesn't say this anywhere ahead of time), and there are 2 fire shows per night at 7:15pm and 9pm.Looks like you'll want to be at least 1 hour early for really good, close seats, but there is a TON is seating available (50 - 100 seats if you include the restaurant seats which all have a view as well). They do get quite backlogged with drink orders though, and to be honest, they could have used at least one more bartender during hour or two leading up to the shows. The drinks are definitely premium, with a premium price tag (about 280 each), and the only one I didn't like was the Negroni, which was very bitter. The fire show was absolutely amazing though, and definitely worth any other frustrations.

We went for the fire show and had a couple drinks, didn't try the food so can't comment. The fire show was freaking unreal, definitely worth the visit for anyone on the island. Would advise to make a reservation in advance to get a good table of beanbag.

Great beach front spot. Great delicious cocktails menu. Food offers are pleasant. Staff are friendly. We opted for late lunch and were sitting at the front bench seats, lovely breeze and sunshine.

Class spot and go for the fire show! 🔥Foods good and the music is kickin! There is genuinely a really great atmosphere here with amazing views of the beach and coast. Cocktails are great but I'd say get down early. We arrived at 6pm and had to wait for a table. After that we watched the queue build up really quickly! Very good buzz all together!

Beautiful ambience, great cocktails and food. Enjoy a fire show at 7.30pm and 9pm on the beachfront every weekend. Adjoining bar has a pool table which you can play on for free as a patron. Worth the visit and definitely would recommend!

One of a must check in place when visiting samui. Good vibe and many seats to sit both on the beach and bar. They do have fire show around almost 8pm everyday, nice show indeed. Foods are tasty and yum esp pizza and cold cut. Staff is attentive. If you wanna sit beachfront row, better come early around 6pm.

Nice Vibe, stopped for a drink after dinner. Drinks were ok, but even with the restaurant at half capacity took about 10 min to even get someone to acknowledge us. They seemed a bit overwhelmed. But great atmosphere and easy access to fire show was a nice touch.

This restaurant is nestled on a stunning beach, offering breathtaking views that make it an absolute paradise for enjoying the most beautiful sunset in all of Koh Samui. Relaxing on the comfortable lounge chairs, I found myself completely immersed in the tranquil and captivating surroundings. The gentle sea breeze added to the ambiance, making it a dreamy setting. Not only does the restaurant boast a mesmerizing atmosphere, but their drink prices are also quite reasonable, ensuring that guests can indulge without breaking the bank. I particularly enjoyed sipping on a refreshing beverage, as it delighted both my taste buds and my soul. This kind of experience truly encapsulates the joy of vacation without the burden of hefty expenses.Furthermore, the highlight of my evening was witnessing the most spectacular fire dance I've ever seen. The flames danced in the darkness, synchronizing with the rhythm of the music, creating a truly awe-inspiring spectacle. The performers displayed exceptional skills, skillfully combining dance and fire to craft a mesmerizing and mysterious ambiance. It was more than just a performance; it felt like a fusion of art and the forces of nature.Overall, this restaurant provided me with an incredibly enjoyable dining experience. From the serene beachfront views to the affordable drink prices and the breathtaking fire dance, it encompassed all the elements to leave a lasting impression. I highly recommend this venue, and if you find yourself on Koh Samui, don't miss the opportunity to visit this rare gem.

Love the food and the fire show entertainment. Perfect ambient with waterfront or on the beach dining. Food is amazing and the show at 7pm and 9pm daily is fantastic. Perfect vacation spot for us.

I love this place. You can watch the fire show on beach loungers, offered every evening as far as I know. Additionally, they have a restaurant where you can sit indoors or on the terrace with a beautiful view. They serve Neapolitan pizza and delicious pasta, not exactly like from an Italian place but very close. It's a bit pricier than eating where locals do, but you're paying for the Instagram Photos and the lovely atmosphere.

Picturesque oceanfront and fresh ocean breeze. This landmark bar and restaurant is appealing and vibrant. It’s so exciting that I forgot that I was hungry and five hours seemed like one hour. In the past two years that I have visited this place, it never gets old. Never a dull moment in this place. Whether watching people or watching shows ( 7.15 pm , 9.15 pm), the moment has always been exhilarating, especially when food is served. The dish that we have had now and over the years has been consistent. The pizza is good to the last piece. Unfortunately, cocktails are a bit weak, and that is the only dissatisfaction. But overall, this Samui’s iconic restaurant is like a bind that keep me to keep coming back.

Absolutely thrilled with our experience at Coco Tams Bar! The prime beachfront location sets the stage for an exceptional evening. The breathtaking fire show was beyond compare, making our visit truly memorable. While the prices may be on the higher side, the fantastic staff, superb beachfront setting, and the mesmerizing fire display make it worth every penny. We'll undoubtedly be returning to this gem when we're back in town.

Simply this is a MUST VISIT. We actually went twice in one week, one to the restaurant (upstairs seating) and the other to the beach bar (beanbags seating on the beach)The place offers unbeatable vibes, food, music, and service. Don’t miss the fire show. It’s the best I’ve seen on the island

Around 5:30, we arrived at this place and got a really good spot.At this time, we could see the beach in daylight, the sunset by the sea, and an awesome fire dance performance. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The fire dance show, which was truly breathtaking.Performers even came to your seat to perform.I recommend giving a little tip after the show because it was so great. The only downside was not getting to try the restaurant's pizza. Next time for sure!

I arrived there around 5 o’clock in the afternoon and stay till eight. They offered me a very good seat in front of fire show. I swim a little bit and then ordered some juice and foodThen I relax and enjoy the sunset waiting for the fire showIt was a pleasant evening, and I might go back there againHowever, I can offer some enhancement in the managementI ordered the mixed fruit juice, without mango and sugar, but they added mango and sugar to my drinkAlso, one staff come and ask for payment after I paid . Of course, it was not a big deal and I showed him the slip of my payment. So, despite the fact that the place was full with a long queue of waiting for entrance, they still can enhance the management a bitBy the way, the fire show is the must see experience in the Samui

The only good thing about this place is its location and the incredible fire show. Awful service, bad food, disappointing cocktails, and music louder than actual beach clubs. They tried to steal our money by keeping our change from 1000 baht, we had to chase them down for it.We came for dinner & the fire show. We sat at the end of the beanbags on the beach & realised we wouldn't be able to see the fire show so moved along. We were then given a completely different menu - no proper food just junk food snacks, no vegetarian options. There were no signs saying it was a different section or info to say you couldn't get proper food along that part, but we wanted to see the show properly so we stayed. We ordered & gave the guy 1000baht note, which he just walked off with and never came back with change. We had to chase him down for it, he was literally just gonna try and steal our money. My food came without a fork, the waiter said he'd bring one over, he never did, so I went to the restaurant to ask for one, the guy had hundreds behind him but made me go to the beach bar because it's 'separate'. The beach bar gave me the exact same cutlery they had in the restaurant (plastic knife fork & spoon in plastic wrapping). The overly loud music was kept on for the whole fire show so you can't hear the performers trying to speak to the audience.Food was bad, cocktails were just disappointing, and although most of the service staff were friendly enough, the actual service was dreadful.

We were looking for a nice restaurant for dinner with a bit of an atmosphere for our first trip to Fisherman’s Village and Coco Tams didn’t disappoint. The menu isn’t Thai food though so don’t be shocked like me if you haven’t done any research. We had 4 pizzas which were absolutely delicious and arrived quickly. The cocktails and mocktails were very well presented and everyone loved them.Service was great, all of the staff were very friendly. As we hadn’t booked, we got a table upstairs but when the fire show started we were still able to go over and watch it so my kids were impressed!Seats were comfortable and the music playing and general atmosphere meant we stayed here longer than anywhere else we’ve been in Thailand. It had a more relaxed, European feel about it.Prices were high but worth it.

You must go here! Awesome vibe, great drinks and food, and good views of the fire shows. Prices are on the higher end - we visited on our last night in Samui. Packed on a Friday though due to the market, if you want sunset views on the beach then you need to get there early evening.

I would recommend booking a table to see the fire show here, and the entrance is the bar next door not the main restaurant which does get confusing. The only draw back if you book they insist you have to be there at 6pm or you loose your spot. This was for the 7.15pm show which wasn't a bad time to go because the sunset is fantastic from here. The cost of drinks is expensive and the service very slow which depending on what time you got there does help with the cost of the night.Every night was busy and a queue to get in, so if you want the best seats and don't want to be disappointed book. The food on the beach is snacks only, which we did try but expensive for what it was so just drink and eat after for cheaper. The fire show is spectacular and well worth it.It reminds me of cafe mambo but with a fire show and not a DJ. Worth the visit once but when you've done it you've done it. But it's not something you want to miss out on.

My husband and I have been enjoying spending the twilight and evening times on the beach at Coco Tams. The food was just alright; looked better than it was. Not a great buratta but we didn’t expect it to be as it’s not exactly the right place for that. The atmosphere though - is great! They have a fire dancing show every evening (Saturday night seemed like the most exciting show). And being able to sit at tables in the sand to watch and eat was really nice.

Okay, so the food is mediocre and over-priced, and the service is patchy. But you don't really come here for that: you come here to see the nightly fire show on the beach, which takes place right in front of Coco Tam's at 7.15pm. So get here around 6pm, grab a good seat upstairs, order some food and drink and wait for the show to begin!

It is a must kind of place for a beach bar, no sunset for this place but really good vibe still here. Pizza also incredible just need to order from the restaurant in same name. Only thing I found curious was they charge 3% if you pay by card for the bar. But the restaurant not charge anything extra the price of food.

We had an absolutely delightful time at Coco Tam’s. The setting is nothing short of idyllic, with the restaurant situated right on the beach, offering guests the choice of dining directly on the sand or from a higher vantage point overlooking the tranquil waves. Adding to the magic, every few minutes, a pair of vibrant blue and yellow macaws would swoop overhead and disappear back into the trees, lending a mystical touch to the whole experience. The atmosphere is further elevated by a mesmerizing fire acrobatic show at sunset—an experience that was as entertaining as it was unique. The beach remains open late, adding to the charm of the venue, and the music was spot-on, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxing evening. The menu is diverse, featuring a delicious array of Italian and international dishes, all expertly prepared.I highly recommend a visit to Coco Tam’s, and as a bonus, it’s conveniently located near a bustling night market. The market offers a wide variety of items, from clothing to electronics, as well as street food and drinks. It’s a must-visit when in Koh Samui.

How to enjoy the fire show by Coco Tam’s?1. Reservations:If you are planning to come to Samui and want to enjoy the fire show by Coco Tam’s, you can reserve a spot in the bar or you can walk in.What’s the difference?I think the reservations allow you to just come in right before the show, otherwise you can walk-in and get a table but for that you will have to come in by 5/5.30. After 6 pm, they don’t really allow people in (unless there is seats available)You have to make a reservation atleast a week before your planned visit so call them or message them on insta and they are actually very responsive (they called me back when they didn’t pick up my call earlier)2) Seating:Coco Tam’s is actually very big. They spread across a wide area between their bar and their restaurant. The best seats are the bean bags spread right outside the restaurant area or on the left side of the restaurant area ( take 3/4 columns to the left of the restaurant). If you go further than that, you may not have a great view of the actual show.Try not to sit too close to the water. Middle rows are best. Then you have great view and good seat.We sat a little further away from the middle and while we had a great view we only saw on group mostly (there is two groups doing it simultaneously)3. EatingCoco Tam’s bar doesn’t have food (only some snacks) so if you are planning to eat while watching the show, sit at their restaurant which is separate from the bar area and they don’t allow you to bring food from the restaurant at the bar. There are some light snacks available but if you are going there hungry hoping to eat (like we did) then you have to sit at their restaurant. Alternatively, the bar allows you to order pizza from the restaurant as a takeout (so they order for you and bring it you in delivery boxes and you can eat and enjoy the pizza)They have good cocktails so we ordered pizza and cocktails and killed a good time to watch the show.4. Fire showTimings are around 7 pm and 9 pm.This fire show is probably the best I have seen and I definitely recommend it to people. Also please tip them nicely. Some of the stuff they do seems very dangerous. Finally, hope this helps people who are looking to enjoy the show at Coco Tam’s.

Nice bar located right at the beach with beautiful decorations, fire shows and an outdoor pool table. It’s a bit more exclusive and nice bar than most other beach bars so go here if you want that little extra something something experience. Prices are ok reasonable compared to the place and environment. Go here, have a drink or 2 and enjoy the fire show. I never had food from here so I Can’t tell you if it’s worth it or not 🙃

This place is so cool!! Such a vibe and so much seating options. I loved it here!We did not want dinner so we were sent to the bar side of Coco Tams. The wait was not long at all and we were seated on bean bag chairs on the beach. It looked like they had regular seating inside, bar seats, swing chairs, benches, and cool net hammocks as well. So so many options. There was really good music when we were there. I actually shazamed the entire playlist lol. When you order a drink you have to settle the bill right away which I think it's a good idea considering how many patrons they see at a time.On the bar side they offer small snacks and tons of drinks. They also offer hookah! There is a fire show everyday at 7:15pm and 9pm. I highly recommend watching one, it was the craziest fire show I had ever seen! They take tips at the end so please show your appreciation and tip generously! What they have to perform every night is not easy!

Fantastic experience but the service can be slow. You'll see why as they serve a LOT of people both on and off the beach. Great food, but a little pricey. Worth it for the vibe though.

What a place! Such a fantastic night. All ages welcome, it’s all very kid friendly, people walking around selling toys, our kid had a fantastic time. The fire show was absolutely spectacular, we were told you can’t book in advance, yet when we arrived we saw tables were already booked. So if you can manage, book in advance. Table 7 is the best table followed by table 8. Don’t miss out.
