But streaming services aren't necessarily free either. and while I could technically lose my rights at some point I have yet to see it happen. And I purchased a show (MI-5/Spooks) that Apple has not had available for years now but I can still play it just fine. Plus there are often threads about discounts on Apple gift cards.

As to why I buy digital media... I went through cancer treatments and realized that I did not want to get up and find a disc and put it in. It just works for me.

Well it's definitely not a hot deal. I've had lots of media revoked. For the services died. Better off streaming it on a subscription [which I get for free from ppl]. Or I prefer third party streaming sites

And you are certainly entitled to your opinion... Although using someone's subscription still costs someone money... so that's not free either. You do you... No one is telling you that you have to buy digital content. They are posting it for the people that do want to.
